Reshmi Nathan

I have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication. I have 14 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools and one year of experience in teaching IGCSE, AS/A levels. My teaching career has been geared towards the empowerment of secondary school children. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well rounded, responsible and successful individuals.
I had worked in International Indian School, Dammam, Saudi Arabia for the past 12 years. It is the only major Indian school in Dammam and has 16,000 students and 600 teachers in its rolls. The school is affiliated to CBSE and is sponsored by the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia. The school has an obligation to provide admission to all Indian students. The school has students from all over India having different mother tongues and diverse cultures. Throughout the course of my career in this school, I had wonderful opportunities to teach a diverse group of students. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodate multiple intelligences, brings hands-on approach to learning, and keep students interested and focussed.
I am extremely comfortable with the technology used in online classes and I keep myself updated with the current teaching methodology. I incorporate audiovisual materials to supplement textbooks during the sessions. These can be models, filmstrips, movies, pictures, infographics, or other mind mapping and brain mapping tools.
My goal in the classroom was always to make learning so much fun that students don’t realize they were learning.
